I love this idea. Very much actually!

For a few forums this could make sense, a forum where members can't view each other's threads, the thread is formatted to put the issue front and centre and responses from staff and client can be documented cleanly. Seems sensible for support forums, but others, too.

Random idea

If we are doing hosted/SaaS, we should offer the option for accounts to be single forum or network/single sign-on accounts to work on any installation. Easy sign up, easy access for all.

This one's a maybe/maybe not situation, but should there be a time/timestamp on feed entries? Let people see if entries are new since their last visit?

Yeah, we do. Got time for that, we'll do some comparison shopping and see what's out there, then find our sweet spot.

Need a cron manager to schedule boring cleanup tasks such as recount totals, clean up orphaned attachments, etc.

We should also be able to manually run any of the boring background jobs.

So, if we were to go SaaS only...

We need to work out some pricing.
