• Alerts can be longer than the div, requiring scrolling horizontally

Suggestions for thread types:

Generic

• "extras" data json field for storing data subjective to only that thread type

Bug Threads

• Custom fields addable via ACP stored in the extras field. Can be used for revision logging, version tracking, etc.

Anonymous threads

• Post anonymously to the community. Do not reveal identity anywhere. Admin can see identity if required.

Competition Threads

• Entry question.

• Replies are answers.

• Detect replies that are the correct answer.

• Pick a random winner.

Currently missing but important thread tools:

• Edit thread title and details

• Change thread types

Nice to have:

• Scheduled submission times

Required:

• Ensure the markup carries the correct syntax for optimum SEO

Small tweak first: The messaging system needs its own counter bubble.

Secondly:

I dislike the layout of the messages; I will make them more like the traditional post. I would also like to introduce things like archiving, folders or tags, multiple recipients.

Implement user tagging and mentions.

A full specification is as follows:

• Alert upon tag or mention.

  • Alert should be toggleable

  • Email alert option too

• Available on all editor views

  • New Thread

  • New Reply

  • Edit Thread

  • Edit Reply

  • Profile Comment

  • Private Messages

• Setting for maximum alerts (per user group)

• CanAlert permission
