Some quality of life features for groups.

1) When inviting a user, a confirmation should happen.

2) The logic for public/private/secret isn't quite right. Fix it.

3) Feature / Pin a group to the top of the listing

4) Share threads to groups / groups to threads with high quality embed

5) Assign moderators with customisable permissions

6) Auto replies to threads..?

7) Customisable sidebar for each group for the group admin, with latest, trending, etc widgets available.

So there is a couple of things at play here which you have rightly pointed out.

The notification link is broken on the alert page. I thought it would be good to clear unread notifications from the bell menu, but maybe I misjudged. There should possibly be a read/unread icon instead.

Hmmm.

Public = Everybody can see the group and can view the content

Private = Everybody can see the group but can't view the content

Secret = Nobody can see the group.

The backend logic looks right on first inspection. Let me keep looking for this as there is certainly a bug there.

Hmm, that's very strange. Definitely need to work on permissions there!

Yeah, notifications should be a bit more friendly, and clicking should take you to the location, for sure.

I invited Gizmo...but I didn't get a confirmation message that invite was sent. @Gizmo did you get the invite?

I saw that there's a Lifespot group and I can read the messages in there even though it's marked private. I put in a request to join before I realized that I could see in there already.

I saw that I had notifications about the Group icon image. I can't remember if I did mark all as read?

Anyway, I wanted to go back to the thread to let you know it worked for me and saw that in the notification icon in the upper right hand corner removed everything...so I went to the left hand sidebar and opened up the Notifications. It turns out that I can't click on the thread to get back to the thread through that Notifications. I had to hunt it down by looking through the forum.

I'm not sure if this is by design?

Can confirm this error. How strange!

I wanted to test out the Groups, and created one, then went to add an image and what happened was the image popped up as shown below...see how it's greyed out? I get locked up and can't press Cancel or get out of the page at all.

Groups have been attempted before with other platforms, but this looks like it was better thought out on how it could benefit a community. I really like what you've done with them.
