For a few forums this could make sense, a forum where members can't view each other's threads, the thread is formatted to put the issue front and centre and responses from staff and client can be documented cleanly. Seems sensible for support forums, but others, too.

Flow:

Create ticket thread type and enable ticket behaviour with the check box

Add the thread type to the node

Make it the only thread type in the node

Mark thread type selection as required
